Philanthropic Prince Moral Stories
Greece is the capital of the state – Athens. There was a golden statue in the middle of Athens. Diamond-pearl and gold-silver were inlaid on that statue. This statue was of the prince of Greece.
One day two Greek ministers were passing by. Looking at the statue, one said to the other, “Truly no one has seen such a beautiful statue anywhere else.” The artist has made it so lively, as if it would just speak. “
Pratima smiled after listening to them. Then his mother came out in front holding a child’s finger. The child was crying. Mother said, “Just look at that statue. How is the prince smiling? You too should always keep smiling like this. But you weep over talk. “
In the meantime a bird came flying from somewhere and sat on that statue. She was tired of flying. The bird was still languishing when the drops started falling from the sky. The bird said, “Hey! I had come here to rest, but there is no place to cover my head here. What is the use of an idol that cannot save anyone from getting wet. “
Hearing this, the statue said, “There is some space between my two legs. You sit there. “
The bird sat there and survived by getting wet. At night the prince told, “I was the prince here. I always helped everyone. I enjoyed helping others. I no longer live. Nobody can work for themselves even if they want to. Will you help me?”
The bird said – “What’s your job?”
The prince said, “Bird, bird! You go to the palace! There are servants’ rooms near the palace. There is also a small room among them. There is a sick boy distraught with hunger and thirst. His mother is very poor. He has nothing to feed her. There is no money for medicine. You take some diamonds out of my eyes and give them. “
Chidiya said, “No, no! I will never go for that boy. When I was crossing the river last year, that devil stoned me. “
Rajkumar became sad after hearing Chidiya’s talk. Chidiya agreed to her, seeing the prince unhappy. He scrapped his beak and took out some diamonds. Flying away she went to the palace and they dropped the diamond in that small room of the servant. The woman was delighted to find glowing diamonds in her room and went out to get medicine and food for her son.
The bird returned. On the way, he saw a village. There was a lot of poverty. He came and told the prince about the condition of the village. Rajkumar said, “My clothes are made of layers of gold. Take these layers and put them in the village houses. The poor thing will eat for a few days. “
The bird took one layer of gold and put it in all the houses. People danced happily after seeing them sleeping in their homes. The bird came back but tired and fell on the idol. He died in a few moments.
The next day when the two ministers passed by, the king was also with them. Seeing the statue, the king said, “This image looks so ugly.”
Both ministers said, “You are right. It is not a prince, but a beggar’s statue. Some bird is also dead on this. We will get it removed tomorrow. “
