There used to be a woodcutter in a village. He was very hardworking. He was also honest. Once the woodcutter reached the banks of the river. There he started cutting wood with a tree. While cutting the wood, his ax fell from the hand and fell into the river. The woodcutter became depressed.
He got down from the tree and sat on the bank of the river. Suddenly a mermaid came out of the water of the river. He asked the woodcutter a reason for sadness. The woodcutter said, “My ax fell into the river.”
